2 Car MVA With Extrication 345 Harpers Ferry Rd

With Rescue and Collapse 9 tied up with a minor shoring job for a car into a building Engine 2, Truck 3, and Car 5 were dispatched to the scene of a two car mva with injuries and extrication required. The crews used the try before pry method and found the driver's door could be opened by unlocking it and using a little manpower to push it back. Rescue and Collapse 9 soon arrived on scene after clearing the incident on Meriden Rd and assisted the Campion Ambulance medics and the fire crews with backboarding and extracting the 2 elderly patients from the front seat of the Cadillac. Both were loaded aboard the ambulance and transported to St Mary's Hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
