Overturned Vehicle 990 West Main St 11/22/09

Shortly before 9am on Sunday morning a full rescue response was dispatched for a rollover with possible entrapment in the area of 990 West Main St. First due Engine 8 arrived to find a Saturn on it's roof in a parking space between two other vehicles in the parking lot of the Robin Ridge Elderly Apartment Building. Evaluating the situation the crew was able to easily access the driver prompting Battalion 5 to hold Truck 1 and slow up Rescue 9 eventually releasing the Rescue. With the assistance of the fire fighters AMR EMS personel were able to extract the driver and transport to Waterbruy Hospital for further evaluation and treatment. The cause of the accident was under investigation by the Waterbury Police Department.
