Structure Fire 53 Cooke St

The call sounded for lame showing from the third floor of a multi family dwelling at 53 Cooke St. Engine 2 was the first due engine and they reported that they would be stretching in as they had flames showing from a third floor window. On their way in the cleared the first and second floor apartments as Truck 1 set up in front of the structure. The engine company made a quick knock down as the truck company opened up the boarded windows to ventilate. Due to smoke and water damage the residents of the 1st and 2nd floor required Red Cross assistance for relocation. The additional companies on the response were released and the first due engine and truck remained for overhaul and to assist the fire marshal.
