Basement Fire 456 South MAin 08/12/10

The call came into the Waterbury Dispatch Center for some kind of a fire in the store at 456 South Main St. Engine 2 , Engine 4, Engine 11, Truck 1, Truck 3, Rescue 9, and Car 5 would be the assignment for the possible structure fire. Engine 2 was the first company to arrive finding a smoke condition in the building that housed Anthony's Market. On further investigation a working fire was found in the basement and a line was stretched in. The situation was brought under control quickly bu crews had to put their forcible entry skills to work to get in adjacent businesses to check for possible extension.
