Waterbury Fire was dispatched for a car fire next to the building at the Thomaston Savings Bank on Watertown Ave. First due Engine 8 and Battalion 5 arrived to find a fully involved jeep parked near the entrance of the bank. As E-8 stretched on the fire Engine 6 wrapped the hydrant at Watertown and Irvington Aves, Rescue 9 and Truck 2 staged for further instructons. The fire was quickly knocked down and the building entrance sustained minor exterior heat damage. The first due truck and ladder were held for overhaul and to assist the fire marshal's office in their investigation.
