Lifestar Transport of High Speed MCA Accident Victim 5/17/09

After T-boning a minivan at speeds in the excess of 60mph a motorcycle operator sustained multiple trauma injuries. With signs of a major head injury coupled with possible thoracic trauma the Lifestar Helicopter was called to transport the patient to Hartford Hospital one of the two Level 1 Trauma Centers in Connecticut. THe patient was chemically paralyzed and sedated to prevent further injury while being flown to the hospital.
