Two Alarm Fire In A 30 Unit Partially Occupied Apartment Building 11/01/09

Detroit Fire is dispatched to an apartment building on fire on Fenton Rd between W. 7 Mile and Grand River. They arrived to find a 30 unit dwelling with possible occupation by evicted tenants. A Second alarm was struck on arrival and crews prepared for search and rescue. Searches proved negative so the interior crews went into fire suppression mode and one ladderpipe was put into operation. The aggressive attack brought the fire under control after abour 45 minutes .
